All of these core offerings are designed to be supplemented by the free resources available here on the site.

About Me...

The site name comes from the picture book 'Scarlette Beane', one of my students' all time favorites, but my actual name is Wendy!

After I graduated as a teacher I left my country to try other things first! I moved to Scotland and taught in a residential Steiner School and Training Centre for profoundly disabled young people. We were a community of some 60 people living in a self-sustaining environment. After that, I moved back to Ireland for a year and managed a full-time youth centre, where I was responsible for designing an alternative curriculum for teens who struggled with mainstream. When this contract finished I left for Germany where I taught English as a Foreign Language to adults and primary school aged children. I then settled in Kindergarten for a further 5 years. I returned home in 1997 and finally began my teaching career at home. I started with 5th grade and then moved 1st and 2nd grades for the last 10 years. I have always had an interest in Special Education, became certified as an Educational Tester, and managed the Special Education programme in school. In 2016, I retired early (due to health issues) to pursue my dream of selling teaching resources and working full-time from home.

In The Beginning...

I began making teaching resources available for teachers to purchase mainly because it fulfils my creative side. I love all things technology and get a huge kick out of creating a teaching pack that someone else might find useful!  Since retirement, creating resources enables me to continue to be part of the education world. When creating, I can spend hours finding just the right font or just the perfect piece of clip art to complement a page. Creating resources can take many hours over weeks, sometimes months! I still find it amazing that teachers all over the world might find my little store and buy something for their classroom. I also like to provide free resources, so teachers can see if they like the style and content of my work. Earning money from this is just an added bonus - creating is a true passion and commitment, not a quick money-maker!

One or two challenges are never enough!  I love to learn, explore, research, create and diversify - after all, earning a decent income online is not for the faint-hearted!  I currently have my fingers in lots of pies and enjoy every single one of them to the full!  If you are interested in the various branches of my online business, check out the images below - you will be hopping all over the internet!  I can also be found blogging over on Teacher's Toolkit!

Which brings me to the reason for this site - it's my main over-arching site and all the other sites connect to here.

I truly hope that I can be of some use to all of you who pass by and stop for a while!
